Freedom and Learning Analytics
My two topics for the NetGen Ed project are freedom (choice) and learning analytics. Learning analytics is the interpretation of specific data and how certain people understand things.Learning analytics are not always directly connected with academic things. To sum all of that up, learning analytics are just personal interpretation. Some examples of learning analytics are doing homework, extracurricular activies. Everyone has different ideas about what freedom is. I think that freedom means that you can do whatever you want as long as you know its appropriate and you have to draw the line between inappropriate and appropriate. The reason that these go together is because you have freedom to actually do learning analytics. Like it is your choice to do homework, it is your choice to do extracurricular activites. If you dont have freedom then there is no actual learning analytics because there would be no choice to do homework or no choice to do extracurricular activies. All people have different amounts of freedom because everyone grew up with different families so therefore mostly all students interpret data differently and some people are different learners. In my opinion there is no possible way for one of these to exist without the other one, therefore they are perfect together.
